This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
