The Turin Giants Name Former Azzurri Manager the Experienced Gaffer

The Serie A powerhouse have appointed ex- Italian national team boss the veteran manager to lead the team for the remainder of the campaign.

Spalletti replaces the Croatian manager, who was sacked post the Lazio setback last weekend.

Tudor had joined the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but left after seven months after an eight-game winless streak.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, who had failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.

He secured their spot in Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June post a qualifying defeat against Norway, as Italy faced the possibility of not making a third World Cup in a row.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - six points adrift of Napoli at the top after nine rounds.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
